Having an event? Need a tent?

What do I need?

Choosing the size

What you need will depend on the type of event that you are hosting, the number of people attending, the layout you require and the space you have available.

The table below gives you a rough idea of the size of marquee you will need for the number of people attending.

Size of Marquee

Standing Buffet table with some seating Seated at tables

3 x 6m (10 x 20ft)

16 – 20

4 x 4m (13 x 13ft)

12 – 24

4 x 8m (13 x 26ft)

30 – 48

4 x 12m (10 x 40ft) 70 50

40 – 50

If you require more space then it may be possible to join several together to create a larger covered area to meet your needs.

Choosing a layout

Obviously the size you need will not only be dependent on the number attending, but also on the layout of tables and chairs that you choose.  You need to also allow for movement around the tables.  If you wish to leave some side panels out then seating capacity can be increased as access to the seats is much easier.  The marquees come with two door and window panels that can be arranged to suit your internal layout.

The diagrams below give you some ideas as to how the space can be used.

These are only a guide, so please discuss with us your requirements and we can put together a package of furniture to meet your needs.

Choosing a location

The marquees can be erected on grass or hard surfaces.  Please let us know which surface it will be located on so that we can ensure that it can be adequately secured.

It is possible for the marquees to be set up close to a building however you  do need to allow at least 1m clearance all round to allow it to be set-up.

You will also need to take into account any over-hanging trees as the marquees are over 3m high when set up.  If you are unsure if the space is suitable then please send us a photo with details of the size of the space available.
